Truck windscreen damage is one of the most common insurance claims. Here's how it works β and how we make the process simple for you.
Most comprehensive commercial vehicle policies in NZ cover windscreen, side and rear glass replacement. Call your insurer or check your policy documents to confirm cover and your excess amount. Typical excesses range from $0 to $300 for glass claims.
Insurers we work with: AA Insurance, State Insurance, AMI, Vero, FMG, Tower, and most major NZ underwriters.
Have your make, model, year and registration number ready. Describe the damage clearly β is it a windscreen crack, smashed side window, or rear glass? If safe, take a few clear photos of the damage to send through.
Rather than calling your insurer first, many of our customers simply call us. We know the claims process for each major insurer and can start the claim for you, deal with the paperwork directly, and book the mobile fitting at your depot, yard or job site. In most cases you only pay your excess.
We arrive with the correct truck glass, fit it to manufacturer specification with proper urethane bonding, and invoice your insurer directly. We tell you the safe drive-away time before we leave β usually within a couple of hours for most trucks.
Truck windscreens are not standard car sizes. Many are split into two pieces, use thicker laminated glass, and may include ADAS camera mounts on newer European models. Your insurer understands this, and we provide the correct glass specification in the claim so there is no dispute about what is needed.
We also handle side and rear glass claims, which some policies cover under the same glass benefit. If you're unsure, we check your policy wording for you.
We handle the paperwork, deal with your insurer, and fit your glass mobile β across Auckland.
